Founder & CEO

Ria is responsible for the business strategy, vision and direction. Ria has worked in the London events industry for over a decade, working in some of London most sort after restaurants and bars managing the sales and events to then moving event agency side in 2012, Ria really has a 360 rounded experience. Not only has she grown the business from scratch, but she has put together an incredibly talented team of event planning consultants and creative professionals. In her spare time Ria loves travelling – especially to places in Europe for a quick weekend away.

LINDSAY HYNDS

Events Account manager

Lindsay Hynds, Sales & Events Account Manager looks after your Event briefs in order to help make your Event a success. Lindsay began with the company in June 2021, prior to that she specialised in venue sourcing and producing events. 
Lindsay enjoys discovering new restaurants and spending time by the sea. Lindsay, believes that challenge equals growth and loves to not only assist clients on their own event journeys but enjoys the process of overcoming challenges and coming up with creative ways to solve problems.

ALBA SCANU

Marketing Executive

As our Marketing Executive, Alba supports The Event Book in a variety of ways including content creation , story telling, digital campaigns, and all-round creative ideas. Alba recognises the integral role of creative content in defining the proposition and service offering of The Event Book. The work she creates is always fresh and unique and she thrives off delivering the ultimate experience for our clients. When Alba isn’t at work you can find her with her camera in hand, Hiking and exploring new natural wonders, or you can find her creating new watercolour and calligraphy pieces for her Etsy Shop.

KIRA SMITH

Operations Assistant

Kira is our new event operations intern, learning how to master every detail to make your event the best it can possibly be! Before joining The Event Book team in June 2021, Kira was completing her second year studying Event Management at Bournemouth University. From previous work experience and working at The Event Book, Kira is learning her favourite parts of the event process. Kira enjoys getting involved in making the creative proposals and the operation part of events! In her spare time Kira likes surfing, hanging out with friends and dog walking!
