The Celtic Manor Resort
The Celtic Manor Collection Resort has won the M&IT’s ‘Best UK Conference Hotel’ for the last nine years, and so you can be assured they are ready and waiting to once again be delivering exceptional events and fantastic experiences to all clients.
I recently visited the Celtic Manor resort; as part of the M&IT agency Form event, which brought together event agencies and suppliers from around the country for the first time in nearly 3 years. Over the course of the 3 days, there were several different exciting activities arranged for us, from a level-up challenge which included completing several different tasks to move up the leader board, to climbing the heights of the high ropes in the ropes adventure onsite. The final challenge and for me, the most exciting was a make our very own 2-minute news bulletin from start to finish, with the experts on hand to help us curate the experience, which would be aired at the final evening’s gala dinner in front of everyone!

I had the opportunity to stay for three nights which was a great experience what more can you ask for this resort is fabulous it was just a 2 hour & 30 minutes drive from Essex and what a reasonable time to drive it i thought.
I departed Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM and arrived at the resort by 4:30 pm. It was a pleasant drive on a very warm summer’s day but the scenery really did make it a stunning and relaxing drive.
I was greeted by the friendly reception team and was able to park my car right underneath the main hotel which was very convenient.
The Celtic Manor Collection resort is made up of three separate hotels, The Celtic Manor resort, The Manor house by Celtic Manor and the Courdra Court Hotel by Celtic Manor, and The Parkgate which is located in Cardiff.
The Celtic Manor resort and collection really is a destination in its own right and a must-visit destination for anybody looking to host a corporate event in a stunning and relaxing environment. The resort is based just off the M4 in Newport it really is an accessible location to travel to by train plane or car.,
The Celtic Manor has 332 bedrooms, 21 meeting rooms and three large event spaces which can accommodate up to 900 guests for a gala dinner.
With all this space, the hotel really can be utilised for large events or small and intimate ones the choice is completely yours. There are two health clubs on-site, complete with a swimming pool sauna and steam rooms and of course, spa facilities all typical of a five-star resort.
Four restaurants and five incredible bars are also on-site, including lots the third outside space perfect for summer BBQ’s and Al fresco dining. I was lucky enough to stay for three days and I did get the opportunity to sample three of the bars and three of the restaurants and all I can say is wow the experience from breakfast to lunch to dinner was exceptional throughout as well as the service from the exceptionally friendly team really was a memorable experience
SO MANY THINGS TO DO AT CELTIC MANOR RESORT
In terms of activities, there’s really is something for everyone from the three golf courses on-site each with 18 holes you can also partake in some clay pigeons shooting or even duck herding which is a lot of fun or try your at a little treasure hunt around the 200 acres of the beautiful estate.
There is also a high ropes course which we had the opportunity to partake in an activity for team building event and this really was a great experience we were split into groups of eight and did various activities to compete against other teams.
The staff working on the high ropes were very attentive as there were people in our team at various different levels of caution and it’s completely fine if guests don’t want to take part there are always other activities on the ground that can keep you busy and occupied so nobody ever feels left out.
